SAD FATALITY.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
BULLS, Dec. 4. The six-months-old baby girl of Mr and Mrs Winterbourne, of Bulls, met her death under unusual circumstances at about noon on Wednesday. The child had been placed in a swinging cot outside, and by some mischanco the ropes at the top end of the cot became loose, throwing the occupant on to the head of the support, where she was found shortly afterwards. Mrs Winterbourne (nee Miss Werta) is a trained nurse, and, after removing the child, she summoned medical aid immediately, but the doctor could oVily pronounce the baby dead, the neck boing broken. Deep sympathy is felt for.Mr and Mrs Winterbourne in the loss of their only child.
