RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, Doc. 3. Mr E. J. Wilde, Marton, supplies the following- particulars relating to Marton’s rainfall for November: —Nov. 1, .50; 2, .41; 20, .79; 21, 1.14; 23, .06 ; 24, .52; 25, .03 ; 27, .02; 28, .41; 29, .06; 30, .07; total—4.ol. The average for November was 4.16 inches and tho total for 11 months 41.01 inches, while the average over tho whole eleven months was 37.19. A pretty wedding was solemnised on Wednesday, November 11, at St. Franois’ Church when Eleanor Maud, fourth daughter of Mrs and the late Mr F. Holder, Marton, was married to Lawrence, youngest son of Mr A. T. Illston, of Silverhopo, Rangitikei. Rev. Father Lynch performed the coremony. Tho bride, who entered the church with her brother, Mr R. J. Holder, mado a graceful figure in a long gown of ivory French satin, with tight fitting bodice and wrist-lehgth sleeves. Her veil of Brussels not and Honiton laco was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried an arm sheaf of roses and lily of the valley. The bridesmaids, Miss Kathleen Holder (sister of the bride) and Miss Dorothy Illston (sister of tho bridegroom) were attired in becoming frocks; one of shell pink georgette and tho other lettuce green georgette, with Baku straw hats of tho same shade as their frocks, and both carried arm sheafs of pink sweet peas and carnations. Tho bridegroom was attended by Mr R. Inder as best man and Mr Frank Holder as groomsman. As tho bride entered tho church Gounod’s “Avo Maria” was admirably eung by Miss Kathleen Jansen, of Wellington. Tho wedding music was played by Miss Holder, sister of the bride. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by the Sisters of Mercy. A reception was held after the ceremony at the homo of the bride’s mother in a marquee on the lawn. Mrs Holder received her guests wearing a black silk marietta and laco frock with black Bangkok straw hat and white osprey, and carried a posy of autumn shades. Mrs Illston, mother of tho bridegroom, wore navy crepe de chine and hat to tone, and carried a posy of lavender and gold flowers. The bridal couple left by car for a tour of tho South Island, the brido travelling in a blue ensemble and hat and shoes to tone.
