PRAISE FOR THE PRESS.
“In stirring times like the present we have every reason to be proud of our daily Press,” said Mr Joseph Wheelan, 8.A., speaking at the Chatswood (Sydney) Church of Christ (says the Svdnev Morning Herald). “Life is'full of pathos and tragedy, of sorrow and sin.” he added. “So much of the tragedy and sin is featured by the daily Press that we know much more of the ugliness of sjome lives than we desire to know. Fortunately we have a section of the Press that does not feature crime in its headlines. That is the Press we are proud of. That is the Press that we nave reason to thank God for. Yes. with all my heart I say, ‘Thank God for the press.’ ”
