(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Oct. 9. The friends of Mrs J. Martin will regret to learn that she is at present confined to her bed owing to illness. Mrs E. R. Booth left yesterday for Auckland. A meeting of the committee of the Foxton Horticultural Society was held on Thursday evening, presided over by Mr D. Christie (president). The following subcommittee was set up to revise the schedule for tho summer show: Mesdames R. Owen, M. Ross, Miss A. Speirs, and Messrs D. Christie, T. Robinson and the secretary. The date for the jsummer show as fixed for November 27, and the following judges were appointed: Roses and sweet peas, Mr Mason (Feilding); cut blooms, Mr Aggett; decorative, Mrs Galland (Palmerston North); vegetables, Mr Shadier (Palmerston North); cookery, Mr A. H. Whitehead (Palmerston North); needlework, Mrs P. Easton; school work, Air Sax by (Moutoa).
