WOODVILLE.
WOODVILLE, Sept. 25. Mr T. J. Ryan, chief clerk, will act as stationmaster at Woodville until a successor to Mr Smart is appointed. Mr McKubro, of the railway staff, who has received notice of transfer to Napier, lef for that town to-day. The death occurred in the North of Auckland a few days ago of Mr Wallace D. Stewart who, prior to tho war, was employed in Woodville and was an enthusiastic worker for the local Anglican Church. , , The dental nurse has this week extended her operations to Papatawa. The infants from tho outlying .school ' vho , dental treatment will be brought in to tho Woodville clinic. , , The annual meeting of tho Anglers Club was held on Tuesday evening. Mr b. Turnbull presided over a good attendance, and visitors were present from Dannovirtie, Feihling and Pahiatua Anglmg Clubs. Ihe election of officers for tho ensuing year resulted as follows:-Patron, Mr \\. H. Nelson (re-elected): president, Mr b. Turnbull (re-elected); vice-presidents (reelected the same as last year); cornmittee, Messrs K. Retter C. Hayes, Bryson Clarke, Mackie and Cullen; socreta** and treasurer, Mr J T. Horne (re-elect#'!).
