GOVERNMENT AND THE CONGRESS.
DEADLOCK COMPLETE. GANDHI’S GRAVE CHARGES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received August 21, 8.40 a.m. DELHI, Aug. 20. The deadlock between the Government and the Congress is now regarded -as complete, following the publication by Gandhi of a lengthy statement containing grave charges against the Government in relation to the Delhi Pact.
The charges include the maltreatment of villagers by landlords during the collection of rents. Gandhi accuses the Government officials of alleged connivance.
