CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.
CONVENTION AT SYDNEY. Received August 20, 8-5 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 20. The first Pacific International Christian Endeavour Convention was opened yesterday in Sydney, when upwards of 2000 delegates from all parts of Australia and Now Zealand were present. Rev. Lionel Fletcher, of New Zealand, president of the movement, will represent the world president, Di Daniel Polding, of the United States.
Mr Flotclier conducted the inaugural proceedings in the Sydney Town Hall, and lie will play a prominent part in all subsequent sessions until the closing day—next Tuesday. Mrs Fletcher officially opened the Junior Exhibition last night, and a huge welcome rally took place in this connection in the City Town Hall.
