CANADA ANXIOUS FOR AGREEMENT. VANCOUVER, Aug. 17. The Federal Minister of Trade and Commerce, Sir H. H. Stevens, in an interview here to-day, expressed the hope that a trade agreement would soon be made with New Zealand. “We are in constant touch with New Zealand, and are anxious and ready for an amicable agreement with that Dominion,” stated Mr Stevens. “I am confident that we shall do so when the present general election in New Zealand is over.”
