DELIBERATIONS AT BASLE. LONDON, Aug. 18. The finance experts’ committee at Basle has adopted Sir E. Layton’s report recommending a six months’ prolongation of Germany’s short term credit of approximately five million marks on condition that the Central Banks of Great Britain, France and America, also the Bank for International Settlements, which lias already granted Germany £20,000,u00 credit, are prepared to renew this for six months, commencing to-day. The report also favours fresh credits for Germany subject to certain conditions.
