BOXER’S MATRIMONIAL TROUBLES. NEW YORK, Aug. 17. At Reno, Nevada, Jack Dempsey, the ex-world heavyweight champion boxer, lias filed a divorce suit charging his wife —Miss Estelle Taylor, the well-known film player—with extreme mental cruelty. Several weeks of fruitless negotiation with his wife’s attorneys regarding a property settlement preceded the filing. Mrs Dempsey, who is at Hollywood, will contest the action. Meanwhile she plans to start a divorce suit against Dempsey in Los Angeles. Jack Dempsey, who is 36 years of ago, entered the ring in 1915 and, after a sensational career, won the world heavyweight championship, which he* retained against all comers until tho advent of Gene Tunney. At the height of his fame he married Estelle Taylor, whom be met during a filmmaking visit to Hollywood. Recently he announced bis intention of “coming backy as a boxer by beginning a tour of American towns, meeting all comers in short bouts. STAGE PLAYER AND PEER. NEW YORK, Aug. 17. A message from Reno, Nevada, states that “June,” tho famous London musical comedy star, has divorced Lord Inverclyde on the grounds of extreme mental and physical cruelty. A message from London says that Lord Inverclyde is among tho passengers who have booked a round-England flight in the Graf Zeppelin, which will arrive at the Hanworth Aerodrome to-night. It is the first Zeppelin to land in England since the war. Captain Eckener, the commander, has received many monetary offers from all over England to fly over people’s homes.

Lord Inverclyde married June How-ard-Tripp —she is known as “June” for the theatrical profession—in 1929 after being divorced from his first wife. He is 33 years of age.
