COLLIERY FIRE.
SYDNEY, Aug. 18
The fire al the Pelawmain Colliery, Kurri Kurri, is believed to have been accidentally caused by some electrical defect. Several months must elapse before the mine, which is one of the best quality gas-coal producers on the Northern field, will be able to resume. The mine was developed along the most modern lines by the late Kir John Brown, of Newcastle.
