DENTAL CLINIC.
PAYMENT BY PARENTS. At last evening’s meeting of the Russell Street School Committee, Mr F. T. Vnsey reported that the committee in charge of dental clinic affairs in the city had circularised parents of children receiving treatment asking tliat they contribute the sum of 5s per annum per pupil. Should any parents he unable to accede to the request, the case would be investigated by the headmaster. If the latter was satisfied as to the genuineness of the case, the child would receive treatment at the expense of the committee. Members of the ‘committee were in agreement that although this might possiblv prove hard on a ermmittee, the health of the pupils had to have prior consideration and accordingly decided that the committee agree to meet the dental clinic account where the parent was unable to do so.
