TAXI DRIVER REMANDED.
Per Press Association. NELSON, Aug. 3. Richard Robert Rawson. a taxi driver, who early last Alonday morning was found lying on the road by his car, in Bridge Street, and was removed to hospital, was this morning charged before Justices with having failed to account for sums of money totalling £2 2s to AYilliam Gould. AYhen an application was made for bail, the police said that there was one charge only at present, but there was the possibility of another, as enquiries were still being made. Accused was remanded to appear on Fridav, bail being fixed in one surety of £2O. Accused is to report to the police daily.
