GOVERNMENT’S AIM. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 28. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr AY. Graham, was asked in the House of Commons to-day whether he would institute an inquiry into the woollen and worsted industry to investigate measures for reducing the burdens involved in inflated capital 'charges in certain sections or the industry. Mr Graham replied that the reorganisation of this and other staple industries was receiving tlie constant attention of the Government, and a special inquiry as suggested was not necessary. ■ Mr Graham also was asked if, he liad decided te seek power to bring tlie iron and steel industry within the control of a public utility corporation, or if he had an alternative policy in view. He replied that negotiations with the industry concerned were continuing.
