OUTRAGE AT SHANGHAI
SHANGHAI, July 23. An unsuccessful attempt was made to assassinate the Nanking Government’s Finance Minister, Mr T. Y. Soong, on his arrival from Nanking this morning, by a group of Southern political agents. Two bombs and 25 bullets missed Mr Soong, but his secretary was killed and six bystanders were injured. The perpetrators of the outrage escaped.
