RACEHORSE SIMBA.
Received July 24, 5.5 a.m. CANBERRA, July 24. The Minister of Customs, Mr F. M. Forde, replying to a question in the House to-day, said- that the Customs Department had no knowledge of the present whereabouts of the imported New Zealand racehorse Simba, which, when it arrived here in May, was declared to he worth £l5O, but was known to be worth considerably more. It had thus escaped a heavier primage duty. Action was now being taken to prosecute the importer.
