MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
A Press Association message from Wellington states that James de Montfort was charged in the Court today with stealing eight pounds of baoon, eight pounds of roast beef, four pounds of steak, one chicken and one pound of tea, which he endeavoured to send to his wife and child in Wellington, while employed at an hotel in Palmerston North. He was fined £5, in default 14 days’ imprisonment.
