SPEND A LITTLE MORE.
During the 50 years ‘the Eastman Kodak Company has been in business, there have been several times when, at the outset of one of these years, we faced what seemed to be an abnormally bad condition, in general business. On these occasions, the question of retrenchment in our advertising has naturally come up for discussion. Our decision in each case has been—spend a little more money and do a little more work. To be on the safe side now, the company is taking the attitude it did in 1908 and 1914. Advertising has played a vital part in the expansion of the business of the company. :The company’s initial advertising expenditure, in 1888, was less than £2,000 a year. Now it is £200,000 a year.
