CHATHAM CUP MATCH. On Saturday tho Chatham Cup match, St. Andrew’s (Palmerston North) v. Potono (Wellington), will be played at North Streot Park, and will remind local enthusiasts of tho football that entertains thousands upon thousands of English fans. Petono aro the present holders, and will do their utmost to further their hold on tho trophy. St. Androw’s havo this year built up a team, strong both in attack and defence, and are determined that Petono will not further their hold on tho cup without having to furnish an extraordinary standard of football. All patrons can rest assured that tho football to be displayed will reign supremo over any criticism. Soccer i 3 England’s pride and is now coming into its own in New Zealand. St. Andrew’s teams will be chosen from the following:—Holland, Coombs, Paton, McSheffrey, Corkindalo, Thomson, Smillio, Chapman, Mackenzie, Stewart, Lyons, Oman, Bailey, Claridgo. There will be no primary or fifth grades games on Saturday owing to the Chatham Cup game, but a fifth grado team will play a team from Wanganui as a curtainraiser at 1.15 o’clock. The team -will bo chosen from Kcmpson, Creighton, Newton, Pritchard, Downes, Kelly, Facer, Zimmerman, Russell, Holden Broughton, Greedy, Young, Marshall, McQueen, Fitzpatrick. Tho referee is Mr Baldwin.
