FEILDING

HOCKEY FIXTURES. Saturday’s hockey fixtures are as under: —Ladies’ games: Colytou, 2 p.m., Hinekoa v. Colyton; referees, Messrs Poole and Sporle. Feilding, 2 p.m., Carnarvon v. H.5.0.G.; Messrs Chesterfield and Tricklebank. Men’s games: Feilding, 2 p.m., Carnarvon v. Colyton; referees, Messrs Ross and Garlick. Feilding, 3 p.m,, Stanway v. Wanderers; Messrs Ross and Garlick. The drawing for the final round of the men’s competition resulted as follows : —First games: Stanway v. Wanderers, at Feilding; Carnarvon v. Colyton, at Feilding; Pirates, a bye. Second games: Wanderers v. Pirates, at Feilding: Carnarvon v. Stanway, at Feilding; Colyton, a bye. Third games : Colyton v. Pirates, at Colyton ; Wanderers v. Carnarvon at Feilding; Stanway, a bye. Fourth games: Pirates v. Carnarvon, at Carnarvon; Colyton v. Stanway. at Stanway; Wanderers, a bye. Fifth games: Colyton v. Wanderers, at Colyton; Stanway v. Pirates, at Feilding; Carnarvon, a bye. The ladies’ last two games are: Carnarvon v. H.5.0.G., at Feilding; Hinekoa v. Colyton, at Colyton. Final games: Hinekoa v. Carnarvon, at Carnarvon; H.S.O.G. v. Colyton, at Feilding. • The following is the draw for the Wednesday competitions: Third round: Third game. Marton v. Pirates, at Marton; Wanderers, a bye. Final round: First game. Wanderers v. Marton, at Marton; Pirates, a bye. Second game: Pirates v. Wanderers, at Feilding; Marton, a bye. Third game, Marton v. Pirates, at Feilding; Wanderers, a bye. Fourth game (postponed) : Wanderers v. Pirates. In the Oroua Sub-Association games on Wednesday United and Magpies played a drawn game, each scoring one goal. Waituna beat Turagina by two goals to nil. The Feilding Wednesday games f resulted in Pirates beating Marton by two goals to one.

RUGBY FOOTBALL.

The following will play for Wanderers against Rangiwahia at Khvitea in the Oroua Sub-Union to-morrow.: Sandilands, Jaggard, Shand, Ferguson, Brown, Steel, Lawson, Norris, Usmar, Kempe, Williams, Miers, Jansen, Kilgour (2). Emergencies: Jansen and Booth.

INDOOR BOWLS.

A challenge rink —Bros. Noble, Edwards, Worsfold, Rodgers (skip) beat the holders of the Foresters’ Buttons Bros. Rosanoski, Hastie, Martin, Raynor (skip)—in an indoor bowls match by 22 points to 20.

DRAUGHTS.

Wednesday night’s games of the Feilding Draught’s Club resulted: Johnson 3v. Campbell 1; Ansford 2J v. Christian i (one to play); Redmayne 3J v. Dye J; Boddv 4 v. P. Guy 0; Watt 3 v. McGill 1; H. Guy 3 v. Cooper 1.

BRIDGE EVENING

A flag bridge party was held by tbs Feilding Lawn Tennis Club last night, the proceeds being in aid of the Feilding distress fund. About 60 players were present and it is expected that approximately £lO will be available for-the fund as a result of the function. The final of the games found Miss Entwisle and Mr and Mrs Jameson with the same number of flags as Mrs E. Fair, Mrs Robinson and Miss Redwood, the decision being in favour of the'latter party. A competition for a ham was won by Mr Kilford.
