PRICE OF COAL.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 23. Due to the increase in railway freights that occurred some months ago, the retail price of certain lilies of West Coast coal has been raised by threepence a bug, but the State de-j pot has not yet taken action. The freight is now 18s 7d a ton instead of Ids 7d.
