RANGITOTO RABBIT BOARD. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, July 22. A meeting of tho trustees of the Rangitoto Rabbit Board was held in Bulls on Monday. Present: —Messrs K. VV. Dalrymple (chairman), Amon, Gray, Palmer and Simpson. Leave of absence was granted Mr Trotter, and side leave was granted to Mr Sutherland. Messrs Dalryinplo and Simpson, who attended the annual meeting of the North Island Rabbit Board’s Association, reported that the rules were altered to give moro scope with regard to the holding of meetings. The subscriptions were reduced, ana the conference was of tho opinion that tho whole of tho North Island should be included in the same Rabbit Board, and that the Government should be approached to bring down legislation to carry this into effect. A rate of 13-16’s of a penny was struck on all land in tho board’s area from April I, 1931, to March 31, 1932. Tho inspector’s report was received. It was decided to wipe off rates outstanding for tho years 1924 to 1928 amounting to: European, £3 5s 2d, and Maori, £6 9s 6d. Receipts since last meeting amounted to £6 19s Id, and expenditure to £34 16s 3d. The next meeting will be held on Sept. 14. MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING. There was a largo attendance of members at the weekly shoot held on the Bulls M.R.C. rango on Monday evening, and scoring was very high. Following are details, with handicaps:—M. Splondid scores wero also recorded on the Ohakea M.R O. range on Monday night, the top eight men only dropping 20 points, putting on the phenomenal score of 1100. J.
