MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Ter Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 21. “You must assure me that this case will come on at the end of this remand, otherwise it will be struck out. A man has no right to be kept this length of time either bv tire police or by anybody else,” said Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., to counsel for the informant when Robert John Munro. aged 56, a tailor, was charged with the theft of £9, the property of the firm of Munro and Hickinbottom. An assurance was given that the case would be gone on with on August 4, and accused was remanded on bail.
