POPE’S ENCYCLICAL,
Received Julv 6, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, July 5.
Signor Mussolini is mentioned in all but in name in a vigorous encyclical issued by the Pope, condemning the campaign against young Catholic societies.
The encyclical condemns the Fascist oath as illicit and -as pagan worship of the State. It denies that the societies are anti-Fascist. and that such charges were a pretext to tear the young from the Church.
