(From Our Own Corresixmdent). OTAKI, July 3. In tho senior hockey match on Wednes-. day To Iloro defeated Levin, B—l. In the Otaki-Te Horo B match the latter won, 3—2 Otaki seniors beat Parapanaumu, 3 O'. Mrs Galbraith and her daughter, Valerie, are now in Paris, having flown by ’plane from London. A wedding of interest took place at Wanganui on Wednesday, when Miss Mavis Whitcombe, who has several relatives and friends in Otaki and Palmerston North, was married to Mr F. Hitchcock, of Matamata. There are about sixty unemployed in Otaki at the present time. As tho result of a cinema benefit for the State School the funds have been benefited by nearly £6. This will bo utilised for ground improvement.
