. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. Following are the results of basketball matches played in Palmerston North on Saturday afternoon: Technical A 9 v. All Saints 5; Y.M. Gym 8 v. Technical C 7; Linton 23 v. Technical E 5 ; Technical B 19 v. High School Old Girls 15.
REPRESENTATIVE TEAM. At the conclusion of the competition basketball games on Saturday the representative teams held a practice. The players were:—

Lucas (C.0.G.), N. Davis (Linton). Defenders: J. Sheppard (H.5.0.G.), E. Norris (C.0.G.), D. Palmer (Con. H.S.), S. Andrew, L. Whitehouse (C.0.G.), M. Titshall (Y.M. Gym.), N. Offwood (Tech.), B. Baillie (Tech.), L. Bennett (G.H.S.) Play was very promsing, especially in the forwards, where there was a weakness in last year’s team. The standard of play all through was much higher than last year’s.
