BASKETBALL.

. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. Following are the results of basketball matches played in Palmerston North on Saturday afternoon: Technical A 9 v. All Saints 5; Y.M. Gym 8 v. Technical C 7; Linton 23 v. Technical E 5 ; Technical B 19 v. High School Old Girls 15.

REPRESENTATIVE TEAM. At the conclusion of the competition basketball games on Saturday the representative teams held a practice. The players were:—

Baillie (Tech.), L. Bennett (G.H.S.) Play was very promsing, especially in the forwards, where there was a weakness in last year’s team. The standard of play all through was much higher than last year’s.
