FINAL OF WOMEN’S SINGLES. WON BY FRAULEIN AUSSEM. SEMI-FINALS OF MEN’S DOUBLES. (United Press Association. —By Electric Teelgraph.—Copyright.) (British Official Wireless.) Received July 4, 10.30 a.m. RUGBY, July 3. Prince George was among the who occupied the Royal box at Wimbledon to-day, the principal event being the final for the women’s singles championship. Results are as follow: WOMEN’S SINGLES. Final: Fraillein Aussem (Germany) beat Fraulein Krauinkel 6 —2, 7—5. MEN’S DOUBLES. Semi-finals: Lott and Van Ryn (United States) beat Perry and Hughes (Britain) 6—2, 7—5. Perry and Miss Hecley (Britain) retired in the semi-final of the mixed doubles owing to an accident to Perry and the match went to Lott and Mrs Harper (United States). SHIELDS RETIRES. Shields (United States) has been compelled, owing to an accident, to scratch from the 'singles championship. S. B. Wood, who was to have met him in the final round to-morrow, will therefore bo given a walk-over.
