The grouping of tho various classes, lambs, wethers and ewes in their different sections created favourable comment, and should prove helpful to buyers, of any particular class of stock. Smooth running was the order of the day and purchasers and vendors were well satisfied with the good conduct of the sale under the new organisation. Fat sheep: These were well filled and, while the grown sheep showed quality, with prices for ewes firm, and wethers at a slight advance, the majority of tho lambs wero indifferent and this combined with a slight easing in export values caused a decline in values. A" considerable amount of interest was shown by a large attendance of farmers and others at the first sale held at the Feilding yards yesterday by the Associated Livestock Auctioneers, Ltd., the recently formed company which embraces firms previously acting individually at the Feilding yards and other centres in this district. The fixture was among the first of its kind in the Dominion, and tho new arrangements adopted for the delivery of stock, etc., and other aspects of the sale gave an indication that these features will promote more rapid handling of the business sale. Yesterday’s fixture was quite a success, and tho sale was over and the stock in process of delivery at an earlier hour than usual despite the heavy yarding.
