While batting for Middlesex against Notts at Lord’s the other day, “Patsy” Hendren was struck on the head by a hall from Larwood, and fell unconscious. He was carried to the dressing-room, and taken by the ambulance to hospital, where he was treated for a badly split ear, and later was able to go home. The blow' was heard distinctly ill the pavilion.
