MILLIONAIRE’S WILE.
LONDON, June 18. The late Lord Trent’s will —he was formerly Sir Jesse Boot, proprietor of the well-known chain of chemist stores in England —which has been proved at Jersey, does not disclose the amount of his estate, but a sum of £351,000 has been left to charity, and the residue to his widow. A codicil announces that he had abandoned British domicile and had taken up his domicile in Jersey. His fortune is estimated at between £2,000,000 and £3,000,000. No death duties are payable in Jersey.
