“CHEER-UP” WEEK.

MOVEMENT IN AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 18. In an endeavour to stimulate business, city business men yesterday inaugurated a “Cheer-up” ~ week. Large crowds witnessed a procession of decorated vehicles in Queen Street and afterwards participated in a hunt for free gifts in the shops. The streets were crowded again to-day, and the success of the enterprise in bringing people to the shopping area may be judged by the fact that the tramway receipts yesterday were £3OO greater than on Friday of last week.
