THEFT ALLEGED.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. April 18. Charged with stealing £1155, the property of Messrs Pierce Brothers, on dates between October, 1929, and April, 1931, Robert Andrew Stewart, aged 41, a clerk employed by the National Bank of New Zealand, appeared before a Magistrate to-day and was remanded to April 28. Bail was allowed. The police said that Stewart, who is married, was arrested yesterday and frankly admitted the offence.
