BOXING IN AUSTRALIA.
SYDNEY, April 18. At the Stadium, Frank Green, 12.4, defeated Paddy Ryan, 11.4, by a technical knock-out in the second round.
MELBOURNE, April 18. At the Stadium, the heavy-weights, George Cook, 13.6, and Jack O’Malley, 12.6, provided many thrills. The fight was fairly even to the fifth round, when O’Malley was knocked out after the bell and the contest was awarded to Cook. When he realised his mistake, due to not hearing the bell, the referee ordered the contest to be resumd. O’Malley gradually recovered and obtained a points victory over Cook.
