Declaring that the Government is by no means unmoved by the protectionist tendencies clearly manifest in Britain; the Ministry* of Commerce announces that M. Elberl, Director of; Commercial Agreements, is shortly, visiting London in order to discuss w'rtli Britain the outlines of negotiations for a new treaty between England and France replacing that of 1882.
