EVENING SPORTS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Feb. 20. There was a good attendance _ at the Bulls-Ohakea evening 6ports meeting, held on the Domain on Wednesday evening, and tho racing was good, though rather liberal handicaps kept the scratch men out of itho major places in tho cycling events. Results were as follow :

Cycling.—Three Miles : J. Colo (680yds) I, P. Cole (scr.) 2, M. Hazelwood (350 yds) 3. Won very easily, a poor third. One Milo: A. Murray (100yds) 1, M. Hazelwood (100yds) 2, P. Cole (scr.)' 3. Fifteen yards divided each of the placed men. Running.—22oyds: Lin. Homes (2yds) 1, J. Carter (syds) 2, J. Preston (10yds) 3. Homes was in front at tho bend and won very easily by threo yards; a foot separating second and third. One mile: F. Howard (130yds) 1, L. Bromley (130yds) 2, D. Edwards (130yds) 3. Howard and Bromley staged a great finish, tho former winning by a narrow' margin; tho third man was nearly 50 yards away. Novelty Events. —Bowling at tho wicket: E. Petersen 1. Putting (gentlemen) ; R. Mansell 18 (course record), J. S. Trickor 22, L. V. Homes 22. H. Hendry 24 C. W. Farrer 24. Putting (ladies) : Miss Trickor 20, Mrs Mansell 20, Mrs Trickor 23, Miss Green 23. Goal kicking: C. Ellery, F. Cutts, J. Preston, D. Howard and Lin. Homos kicked one goal each. CRICKET.

During the week-end a match will be played at Bulls between Rangitikei Factory and Bulls C.C. Owing to tho fact that 46 boys are arriving at Flock House on Saturday, tho match between Bulls and Flock House has been postponed for a week. BOWLING.

Foilding and Bulls Bowling Clubs played a friendly match at Bulls on Wednesday afternoon in fino, warm weather, and after a keen contest tho visitors emerged winners by 94 to 74. Details arc as follow, Feilding rinks being mentioned first Allen 23 defeated Colo 14; Williamson 18 lost to Mansell 30; Moore 32 defeated Ingram 14; Wilkinson 21 defeated Stevens 16. Holders of tho various trophies played for by members of the Bulls- B.C. are' as follow:—Pauli Feathers, Ingram and McGregor; Tui Feathers, F. Steven’s rink; Pcrrott Buttons, Archer and McGregor; Ingram Button, Ingram. Bulls bowlers will visit Marton on Wednesday, February 25 to play an inter-club match. GENERAL. Mr J. B. Hogg,' agricultural inspector of tho Wanganui Education Board, is at present inspecting schools in this district.
