COLYTON
(From Our Own Correspondent.) COLYTON, Fob. 21. Tho first flowor show to be hold at Colyton will take place at the local hall next week. The committee have all the arrangements well in hand and are endeavouring to make tho show a very successful function, the proceeds of which will go towards tho Anglican Church funds.
The committee of the Aratika School, at a recent meeting carried a vote of sympathy to Mr W. McLeod and family, l of Hastings, and late of Aratika, who recently suffered a sad beroavoment in the death of Mrs McLeod who was killed during the earthquako at Hawke’s Bay. Mr MrLood was chairman of tho Aratika School Committee for seven years, and out of respect and sympathy for him if was decided not to hold the annual picnic which hnd been arranged for Saturday last. The money collected for the picnic, with the exception of that used for purchasing the book prizes was contributed to the earthquake fund. Mr W. O. Caldwell, of Aratika is on a visit to Wellington. Messrs W. Burr and I. Builders, of Wellington, spent last week-end with Mr and Mrs G. P. Burr, Colyton, while on a motor trip to Napier.
