PLUMBERS’ SHIELD RETAINED

There was another match for the Plumbers’ Shield yesterday afternoon, when. the Plumbers challenged the Auctioneers. The holders won at.the 17th head by 29 points to eight. The links were as follow: —Auctioneers: A. Dickel, P. S. Larcomb, C. Bryan, A. E. Kerslake (skip). Plumbers: Karton, Kirk, Anderson, Ramsay (skip). The postal and railway officials and carpenters have issued challenges which have been accepted. TERRACE END v. OROTJA. The Terrace End Bowling Club will be represented by the following eight rinks at Oroua to-morrow, cars leaving Palmerston North at 1.30 o’clock: Madden. Bee, Hyland, Anderson (skip) Ashton, T. Davidson, Christiansen, G. Wilkinson (skip); A. J. Smith, Mills, Helsby, Allen (skip); Litchfield, Luke, Rennett, Davidson (skip); Simpson, Gordon, Duncalf, O’Shea (skip); Kendall, Andrews, Snell, Wood (skip); Evans, Wilkinson, Cope, Moffatt (skip); J. W. Smith, Torstonson, Childs, Johnson (skip).
