INJURED ON MOUNTAIN.
CLIMf R FALLS ON ICE. I TONGARIRO, Jan. 4. An accidot occurred on Mount Ruapehu on Fid ay afternoon when Mr S. lnglis, of fliristchurch, one of a party of 15 visins, fell on the ice and dislocated h(' shoulder. The mishap occurred jut after the party had reached the hot Iges at the summit. Mr lnglis was assiied through the snow to the hut on the mountain, where he collapsed. ; Mr Ordon Blythe, who was in charged the party, improvised a 6tretchr with skis and coats, and a 6low decent of the mountain was begun. liss Rendle, of 'Auckland, volunteeredjto carry a message to National Park hid on her arrival a rescue party was cganised. Scoria Flat was reached five hfurs after the accident occurred. Jdr iglis is progressing satisfactorily.
