VIOLENT STORM.
THREE FISHERMEN DROWNED,
SYDNEY, Jan. 2. Three experienced fishermen at Cape Hawke, on the North Coast, were drowned this afternoon on Lake Wallis during a violent thunderstorm. The victims are: Arthur Prior, nged 67, and his two' nephews, Geoffrey Prior, aged 25, and Stanley Hart, aged 27. The men were crossing the lake in a fishing launch heavily loaded with paraphernalia from New Year’s Day sports, when the craft sank. Eye-witnesses were unable to lend assistance owing to the fury of the storm and the fact that their boats were too small.
