WELLINGTON v. CANTERBURY.

The Plunket Shield game between Wellington and Canterbury was resumed to-day in fine weather, terbury’s scond innings, which had produced 236 for five wickets, was earned on by Page (21) and C (1). J. Newman opened the attacK from the north end and the batsmen were enterprising. , , . Shortly before three o’clock Canterbury had scored 390 for six wicke (Page not out 80, Lester not out M). AUCKLAND v. OTAGO.
<a Per Press Association. , , DUNEDIN, Jan. 3. The weather was dull, but dry and warm, for the resumption or tne Plunket Shield cricket match between Auckland and Otago. The wicket appeared to be in erood shape. Utago innings realised 323. Auckland batted at noon. About a quarter of an hour before the luncheon adjournment, a shower came down. Five minutes later the adjournment was taken. _ There was heavy rain throughout the adjournment, which prevented the resumption of play until 2.15 o clock. The score was then 56 for the loss or one wicket.
