“BABES IN THE WOOD.’’ On Friday evening, December 12th, the children of the Convent Schools will ?hape at the Opera House an extravaganza, which will surpass in beauty and variety any entertainment they have yet put before. the public. From start to unish the tone of the play is that of sparkling tu/neful music and dancing okilf ully blended with the well-known nqry of the Babes in the Wood. The scene lies in the dopths of the forest and with its throngs of faries, imps, fauns, pixiee, elves, witches and gypsies, oreathes a most weird and fascinating atmosphere. The dancing will not be •ontined to the girls only. The boys as Red Indians will present a most striking and effective picture, whilst their dances and songs will be symbolical in character.
