OROUA DOWNS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BAINESSE, Nov. 17. To augment the school funds an oldtime dance was held in the hall on I riday evening when a very large number attended and an enjoyable time was spent. This time tho majority of the dances were “old-timers” reminiscent of bygone days, and some of the dancers still retained thoir graceful and stately 6teps to again set them to well chosen music for tho occasion. Tho younger generation soon adapted themselves to the efforts of competing. Miss McKenzie and Mr G. Millard (piano) and Mr J. Prentice (accordeon and oornet) supplied excellent music for the dances. The school committee provided a splendid supper and Mr H. Procter acted as M.C.
