WELLINGTON PRICES. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.; WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. The demand for eggs is not equal to the heavy supply and prices show a further drop on the week. However, preserving will start and a hardening of quotations is expected within a few days. First grade hen eggs are Is 2d per dozen seconds Is Id, ducks Is 2d per dozen. Poultry, ex cool storage: White Leghorns 7s 6d per pair, Black Orpingtons 8s to 10s, ducklings 10s to 14s, boiling fowls 7s 6d, and heavies up to 10s per pair; chickens 9s to 15s per pair.
