Mrs Taylor expressed her pleasure at meeting members, and .was most helpful in giving advice and assistance on matters not quite cloar. She then gave a most instructive demonstration on making Beagrass stools. The president, Mrs Perreau, was appointed delegate to the half-yearly meeting at Shannon, and Miss M. Poole was appointed Press correspondent. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Perreau, who, on tho motion of Mrs P. Easton and Miss Mountfort, was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks. He regrets, however, that the proposal that pending .functioning of Unemployment Board assistance should bo rendered by Industries and Commerce Department is not possible, as no funds aro available for that purpose, and no statutory authorisation exists for such expenditure.’ At Wednesday’s mectng of tho Education Board it was decided to urge the department to sanction an immediate grant to provide further accommodation at tho Bainesse School.
