HEAVY EARTHQUAKE.
FELT AT MARTON. (From Our Own Correspondent). MARTON, Sept. 20. The heaviest earthquake felt locally since the big earthquake in June, 1929, struck Marton and the surrounding district at eight minutes to five o’clock this morning. It appeared to come from an easterly direction, and though, as far as can bo ascertain, no serious damage was done, the shock brought back unpleasant memories of a little over a year ago. It lasted for quite a time and signalled its arrival by a rumbling sound.
