Another brilliant Wellington backline movement let Ball in, Cooke converting. Wairarapa played up. but lost scoring opportunities until Jury battled through for a great try, Fuller converting. Fuller then broke through, a Wellington back-line movement, running, seventy yards. He scored, arid also converted. Wellington . then rose to great heights, Mackay, Oliver, Julian and Ball scoring before the finish, Cooke converting one try. The final score was: Wellington 42, Wairarapa 19.

Stewart, were not putting their full weight into the scrum and Otijgo again were superior. Play went up and down tho field until from a .scrum on the Otago line Stewart scored. Innes failed to corivert. Canterbury came down again and several scrums occurred on tlie Otago line, but Faulks cleared to the twentyfive line and a penalty saw play back at. lialf-way. Bradanovich started a nice movement, but his pass in was mulled and play went back ‘to Otago territory, where Canterbury were penalised and Otago were saved. Canterbury came again, but Faulks forced. The game ended a few minutes later. Otago 11, Canterbury 3.
