CYCLE ROAD" RACING

TO-MORROW’S FIXTURES'. A 44 mile course will bo traversed tomorrow afternoon by tho local amateur cycle riders, this being the fifteenth fixture to bo staged this season by the Manawatu Amateur Athletic and Cyoling Club. The race will be to Himatangi, via Foxton Line, through Oroua Downs to Makowhai, thence .through Rongotea to the Kairnnga School corner to Rangitikoi Lino and to the finishing point at the corner of Rangitikei and Featherston Streets. Through the generosity of Mr G. R. Donald, of “Burnlea,” Bunnythorpe, the club can offer trophies of considerable value for this contest. The start will be from tho corner of Church Street West and the Square, at 2 p.tn., and as the race is post entry any outside riders will bo handicapped on the mark. Mr M. E. Wood has declared tho following handicaps: E. Lawrence 4mins, W. Hussey, E. Blakoway, C. Couchnian s)mins, W. Pcdley, A. Christian 7mins, E. Barber, G. Tinkler 7jmins, N. Dixon, H. Rogers, A. Patterson Bmins, A. Anderson, J. Casey, E. Sayers 10m ins, D. Hayes, E. S. Redwool 12mins, W. Galbraith, C. Olsen, J. Hill, R. Sowerby 15min6, A. McGregor, A. Pcdley, O. Prouse 16mins, C. Hyde 17mins, S. Doy, J. Belk, C. Hawkes, J. Kelleher 19mins, D. Hopewell 24mins, J. Cudd, H. Childs, R. Langford 26mins. PROFESSIONAL RACE. The professional club will also stage a race to-morrow, when the course will be from Terraco End to Feilding via Vogel Street and Bunnythorpe and back to the starting point—a distance of 23 miles. Ten riders have signified their intention of starting, and the race will be a very keen one, as it is the last before the club’s 100 mile championship to be staged to-morrow wpek. The club’s handicapper, Mr C. Jennings, has declared the following handicaps for to-morrow’s fixture: W. Collins, E. Pedley 2mins, A. Robinson, E. Burrell 7 mins, S. Ward, W. Dixon 7Amins, R.
