SALVATION ARMY.
The first social in connection with the Band League of the Salvation Army was held on Wednesday evening in the social hall. There was a large attendance, and after the opening remarks by the band secretary. Mr E. W. Ward, numerous games were indulged in. Items were given by Mrs Bell and Bandsmen Holmes and Sime. After supper had been supplied by Mrs Sykes and her workers, the' league’s progress was mentioned and new members made. Bandmaster L. York brought the proceedings to a close with the Benediction.
