STRUCK BY TRAIN.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 16. Alex Brown, of Rakaia, was walking along .the railway track near Addington station to-day, when he was struck by the south express, which was then moving slowly. He received serious head injuries and his condition is reported to be critical. Mr Brown, who is of middle age and single, was taking a short cut to the station to catch a train to his home at Rakaia.
