SOUNDER FEDERAL FINANCE. CORRESPONDENT’S PREDICTION. LONDON, Aug. 13. The Morning Post’s city editor says that reading between the fines of cable messages from Canberra, be is of the opinion that decisions of importance are likely to be reached in the next few weeks in Australia. “The refusal of all political parties to recognise the authority of economic laws is the cause of most of the Australian troubles,” he states. “We are living in times when theorists are prepared to offer quack remedies, but it is feared that the most efficacious will be likely to be unpalatable to the mere vote-catching politician.”
